Boris Ovodenko, M.D.

Dr. Ovodenko specializes in cataract surgery including toric and multifocal implant technology, as well as comprehensive eye care.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Ovodenko completed his
medical degree at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn.
He completed an internship at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., and a Glaucoma
Research Fellowship and Ophthalmology residency at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. He then spent two and a half years working alongside Richard Mackool, Sr., M.D., one of the foremost leaders in the world in cataract surgery.

In addition, Dr. Ovodenko dedicated five years to train the next generation of eye surgeons at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Originally from Ukraine, Dr. Ovodenko and his family immigrated to the United States when he was 12 years old. He has been a Florida resident since 2014.

In his spare time, Dr. Ovodenko enjoys art, swimming and reading books as well as ophthalmology research.
